Queen of spades

The Queen of spades cherry poker. A small standing nose warmer pipe. Featuring a bamboo inlay and a new rustication type done with a raps file.

This type of rustication gives the pipe a scratched surface. But the rustication is not deep as it would be using the midnight rustication tool. The scratches are longer and they all follow each other.

The pipe is made from spanish briar, German FDA approved acrylic and Chinese bamboo.

Length - 110 mm
Height - 49 mm
Bowl diameter - 36 mm
Chamber diameter - 18,5 mm

Blue collar

To represent all us working class folks, here is: "Blue Collar" fresh from the steaming hot workbench at  Ye Olde Horse Pipes.

The last entry for the M@ster Pipe exhibition May 20/21 2017. What a way to select the final pipe for the batch going for the exhibition.

I created the "Blue Collar" pipe to symbolise all the hard work I have put into creating a nice pipe set, and the Blue Collar pipe also represent all the hard working men and woman that still use their hands as their primary working tool.

The Blue collar pipe is creates from Spanish briar, FDA approved acrylic stem, and piece of olive wood (donated by a fellow pipe maker: BBJ Piber). The pipe is brushsticated black at the bottom of the pipe head, and kept in a nice smooth light brown head top.

Frede IX

Frede IX is a pipe inspired by the Danish pipe smoking king Frederik. For smoking pipes there is only one of the models that is truly connected to royalty, this type is of course the Prince.

King Frederik IX was a vivid pipe smoker. He has two of his very own blends Danish and English mixture both available from MOB, and both strong Latakia blends. Since Frede IX likes his smoke like the sailor he was.

This pipe is carved from tuscan extra extra briar. The ring is shiny brass and the stem is swirly acrylic. The pipe is kept in black and white. And the virgin head is there to resemble the kings choice in sailor garments. The video to see what I mean.

Length - 120 mm
Height - 39 mm
Bowl diameter: 31 mm
Chamber Depth: 31 mm
Chamber diameter: 20 mm (but reall conical 12 mm ar the bottom.)

Gjallarhornet (The horn of Valhal)

According to the Norse Mythology Gjallarhornet (the horn of Valhal) Is held by the god Heimdal when he stand guard at the Bifrost (The rainbow).

Heimdal guards the entrance to Valhal and fulfills his duty og keeping Gjallarhornet at Valhal to protect the city of the gods.

This is my take on that piece of Norse mythology.

Gjallarhornet is, ofcourse, a hornpipe created from the finest extra extra Catalan Briar. The stem is black FDA approved german Acrylic. All rings are layed into the stem, and they are all acrylic except for a piece of brass, which gives a shiny addition of the rainbow ring.

Length: 56 mm
Bowl Ø: mm
Chamber Height: 41 mm
